Excerpt of "If Love's A Sweet Passion" by Henry Purcell's opera "Fairy Queen" 1692. The full score of this work was lost shortly after Purcell's death in 1695 and was discovered in the early 1900's. Directed by renowned composer and Morley College teacher Gustav Von Holst, the Morley College students copied the entire vocal and orchestral parts (1,500 pages) and performed this at a concert performance at the Royal Victoria Hall in 1911.
